Info In English

EDGC Preliminary is the official preliminary competition of the European Disc Golf Championships that are held in Oulu, Finland. The competition is open to all who have a valid PDGA license and offers an excellent opportunity to get some practice on the course - and this goes for the players and the organizers.

The arranged divisions are MPO, FPO, MPM and MPG. The maximum number of players is 144. The participation fee for all divisions is 40 euros. Each player gets to play three rounds on the tournament course - two rounds with shotgun starts on Saturday and one round with staggered starts on Sunday.

The registration for the event begins on Monday 11.7. at 17:00 CET and ends on 28.7. at 22:59 CET. To allow people outside of Finland a fair chance to participate, there is a quota reserved for foreign players. These quotas expire on 17.7. At 23:59 CET. The quota breakdown for the four divisions is as follows:

MPO 10
FPO 4
MPM 6
MPG 2

If you wish to participate, send an email to Tournament Director Jouni Knuutinen to [email protected]. Finnish players should register at the Finnish Disc Golf Association’s event system as usually.

The EDGC Preliminary is a vital component in the EDGC preparations. The EDGC event organization will benefit from the preliminary event greatly as there’s no better way to test the course than hosting a full scale tournament at the same venue.
